I spoke to Gow before the Charlton game about playing left wing

Me: Hello Alan will you do a quick picture with me

AG: Och, of course

Me: So what?s all this about you playing left wing them?

AG: Mumbled something in a thick Scottish accent that I couldn?t understand. (He didn?t appear at all happy about being sub)

Me: But you?ve played your best games up front and not on the wing!

AG:Och - I know, but that?s his decision. (He didn?t appear to be at all happy about being left wing)

It was quite loud in the ground and he had a very quiet voice, and thick heavy Scottish accent which meant I struggled to understand the majority of what he was saying. I said to him that when he?d got settled I thought he had played well and thanked him for his time with us.

He didn?t look as much as an Emo close up as I thought he would.
