show up the board again
That said, giving him the job shows them up too, as they fired a man in january, who under a lot of pressure, kept us up, and was trying to do the right things
Gunn's just an unfortunate bystander in the mess they have created, but they'll reciprocate the adequate actions they reap on the people they employ, because they don't want to let go of the club
That's all a vicious cycle, again, created by themselves
When Hamilton left, and Delia didn't like it, and said she had learnt a lot from it. She actually learnt nothing, because when any pressure hits, she and the board don't support the man in charge. They react to slight pressure by making panick decisions
The only manager they've had faith in is Worthington, and that was fine, but when they stood their ground when he'd been here 12-18months too long, they again created their own mess, allowing him to lose it, and continue to lose it, and continue to spend money on dross
Since worthington, any amount spent on dross is rigorously analyzed. Like loans used to be thought as lending a player. Now it's acted on like you've signed a player and even paid a transfer fee
That's an inflated viewpoint, as I doubt Leyton Orient are paying that much for Jimmy Smith
And Troy Archibald Henville is no way on a great deal of money on loan at Exeter
Yet we make out players like these waste transfer budgets when they don't really
In reality, the board don't give that much out for players, ie we don't have set amounts to bid for players, to then pay their wages
That's a corner Roeder, and Gunn have been backed into, again, a mess created by our board
The more you analyze the situation, the more it comes straight back to the same 3 people. The same 3 people who f**k it up year on year but pass that blame to the man in charge
