It's nowt to do with moving with the times. It's supposed to be a user interface and,

as such should be user friendly to the vast majority of it's users. As it is, iot seems to have been written for thick 12 year old merkin kids who don't have a f**king clue what is going on in the background. In fact, it seems to be aimed at Mac users.
