i love Duffers

i think it was 1997 when i'd watch the Tour on Eurosport, all 6 hours coverage everyday, just listening to him having to talk for hours about nothing while there was nothing happening was brilliant, telling us all about what he had for dinner the night before, which cheeses were best, his stories from the old, just insane ramblings of an old man - i was already a bit of a follower of the Tour, but there was just something that captivated me in the s**te he was spouting

i'm not so keen on the one they get to do it now, but i disliked Mike Smith even more - i don't think him and Duffers ever got on though, quite often little arguments would break out between them when they were given the task of co-commentating, Mike giving his facts from Paris while Duffers did his usual
