Loans are risky full stop.
Players have either fallen out with the club (attitude)
Playing poorly or have little experience.
Often you get the rare quality player who has many players in front of him (Lita)
If 50% of loans do well that not too bad, if 75% work out thats pretty good because of the baggage.
Anybody expecting 100% of loans to work out is living in a dream world.
Loans work best when they add to the team rather than make up most of the team.
Gunn is saying the right things except when he thinks that its an ask for Doc and russell to play Lg1.
If they are so good then how much would they raise in the open market if we wanted to sell them?
Exactly...... virtually nothing.
We need to totally gut the side, sell off a number to raise money/decrease wage bill and buy a few young hungry players.
After shedding a few players I would also spend some cash bringing in 1 quality experienced CB who is leader type material.
Maybe someone like Martin Taylor to come here as club captain.
Someone with decent quality and grit who can teach the younger players. (no leg breaking jokes LOL)
