Can't begin to tell you how highly i'd reccomend this film

but i will;

If you're a fan of Tim Burton Films you'll love it, If you were a fan of Roald Dahl books as a kid, or even as an adult (no shame there), you should love it even more.

I can't agree with KabbadiHolt i'm afraid. This film, while differing in certain ways, is far closer to the original story than the Gene Wilder version, FFS that one even had the wrong name!

Jonny Depp is superb, the kids are great, even the oompa loompa songs are lifted straight from the book as far as i'm aware.

Each to his own and all that, some may find it just a bit too wierd, but i loved it more than most "Family films" i've seen in recent years.
