I think even they know that now, shame its a bit late.

The strange thing is................

Normally the boards are the ruthless people and the managers are the ones who are mostly OK.

In a way, what would staying up brought us next year.

More of the same, more overpaid mediocre/avaerage players struggling near the bottom but another increase in our debt.

At least now we will be forced to have a complete shake up/clear out from top to bottom.
Good luck to a lot of our current players getting anywhere near the deals they have here.

That kind of sums up that we have been vastly overpaying for the talent level we have.
