But that's the only one I've bought in 4 years of owning a DVD player

so it's no big deal. I've been given a couple more as presents but that's about it. I haven't watched more than 20% of those either so the money is a bit irrelevant.
Given what you say though, I can see why people do it. Trouble is the internet is on it's knees cos it's clogged up with videos and films. Time for a two tier system I reckon.
