Have to admit - I LOL'd! Just to answer a few of the points below: KC suggested Archant had effectively got me to do their dirty work for them, but nah. Having browsed the digital edition of the EDP, their summary of what I said made it seem as if I hadn't truly held the board culpable for all that's happened. I understand why: they have jobs to do, and need the club to fully co-operate with them. Politics, basically.

I did have ambitions of becoming a sports journo at one point - but am all too aware of my limitations, and it obviously wouldn't work. I do still want to write on football - it's my passion, and I'm not without ability. But it'd be in the form of books, not newspapers - and I imagine you can all understand the reasons why!

It's a bit weird, all this. It was just a post on a messageboard, and I'm amazed at the response. I wrote it as some form of catharsis after what happened on Monday: the reality of our plight really hit me for the first time. But I honestly thought everyone would either ignore it, or just pan it for being so long. I guess there maybe are several ways to skin a cat, after all...
