I stayed-it was surreal, like a funeral march.

Gunny looked absolutely distraught and the players looked ashamed of themselves, which I kind of wanted to see. I applauded them (but not generously, and neither did anyone else I could see) because I think most have put in more effort this season than the last couple of years - they just haven't been good enough.

It was weird, though. It was like the players and fans were saying sorry to each other. All very sad.
