Agree with all of that, someone was talking to me about the religion one

and I said that I just couldn't connect with it, and it's not cos I've heard the gags before, cos when done well, I can watch his stuff over and over

I find myself telling others, when they say they thought, say the lollipop pope gag was good, I find myself telling to go find the real stand up on youtube or on his dvd where he did that in a live arena, cos it's much funnier

I think that's where I am with it, glad he's on tv, but like you say, the tone is lost.

A bit like loving jack dee when he really was angry on channel 4 in the begginning, and still liking him now, but a bit put off at the fact he has to pretend to be miserable these days (as he's got money, and has no need to be :s)
