We need someone to come in here and do the same for us. Feck getting back into the Prem, thats light years away from even being a possibility, what we do need is someone young (tick), ambitious (tick), who has played at the highest level (tick) and has, admittedly in the short term-and yes, next season will be that version of Robins' "difficult second album")-done well and been noticed.

I would get him on board, retain Crook and Deehan, give Deehan a more visible role and say "you've got three years, no matter what... (yep, risky, but gives them time and confidence) ...happens in the interim, get on with it..."

God bless Gunny and all who sail in him, but, for me, he isn't a Manager.
