Lead story of Five Live's Breakfast "News" was "The Chancellor's budget has been roundly critisised by opposition MPs".

And that is NEWS!?

Yes because under normal circumstances, when the Chancellor of the Exchequer revels his budget, the Shadow Chancellor normally says "Well, to be fair, he's raped it, happy days. We certainly didn't expect such a thorough review of the income tax system, and credit to the Chancellor for such inspired financial acumen. He's really dealt our election chances a blow with this." It's been that way for as long as I can remember.
