Intriguing but I can't see either coming to fruition.
Bentley will get a move to another Prem team-West Ham in all probability, add to that the rumours that he and Worthy didn't see eye to eye-or, to be more precise, he didn't see eye to eye with Worthy, in addition, he didn't really stand out when he was here, nor get loads of games (although injury not his fault), or play in his preferred position (just behind the front two) so I can't see him wanting to come back to us.
Sidwell MAY have faded a little last season, certainly it was 03/04 when everyone took note of him, and he was voted Best Player Outside The Prem by 442 magazine, but he remains a good player, I guess the doubt is, if he was THAT good, why hasn't he moved on by now?
The swap for McKenzie is an interesting thought but I think its just a whisper thats got a little out of hand, and, day by day, has turned from wishful thinking and a vivid imagination into a real possibility.
Worthy can pull the rabbit out of the hat as we all know, and if he did with either of the above, I would humbly stand corrected and bow my head in shame. But I can't see it happening, it just doesn't fit in with what we, as a club are, have, and are looking for, nor how we are perceived by certain young and ambitious footballers.
