The great football divide.

I just had a interesting thought.

Lets assume we stay up and next season and we did pretty well with most of our current squad and made the playoffs.

How many of our squad would be good enough to compete in the Prem ?

WBA romped the champs last year and the first thing they did was get rid of players like Phillips who got them out of this division.

Its possible that the divide between the Champs and prem is by far the biggest quality gap of any two divisions in the world.

Its obvious by the prems top teams results in Europe and the world that the quality of the prem has increased a lot since we were there.
Where as the champs has probably declined.
Especially if you remove the prem loan players.

As its been proven the para payments often mess a relegated club up because they encourage the club to keep overpaid/sub par players on the books.

Very few relegated clubs have a complete clearout in their first season or two back in the champs.

The only conclusion is that you have to build a side to get you out of the champs and another to keep you in the Prem.
