I don't trust that ref after seeing some dubious games in la liga
The worst being this season Espanyol Barca. Bad enough that the barca fans fired a firework into the Espanyol fans sparking a near riot
Then Espanyol 1 up, went down to ten men because of a straight red card given out because a player from each side went up for a header, and the barca player dropped to the floor without even being touched
There on, Barcalona equalised, and in over 5 minutes of injury time, Henry scored for 2-1
The ref was lead from the pitch with maximum security
The whole thing was a massive disgrace to football
So I don't trust him with his technically a foul, but more often than not it's not given, penalties. If that was so, he'd have given one for chelsea when Carragher fouled
This whole thing where Liverpool get favours is a real sad state of affairs in football, whether it's mascherano grabbing someones face whilst the opposition player who reacts gets sent off, or whether it's Gerrard telling Clattenburg to send players off, or Kuyt's flying kicks at players that only get a yellow etc etc
Days like today are great because it makes you wonder why they were/are allowed to get so far in these competitions, when they are handed about 5 or 6 stone wall favours a competition
I'm more pleased it worked out for Chelsea. I'm not saying Chelsea are angels, far from it, they'll aggrovate me in another game, but in europe, Liverpool are basically untouchable at times
Mainly because, it's obvious, the sponsers and Uefa want them in the tournament for extra revenue. That's clearly been filtered to the referees and there's an incentive for them to stay in the champions league
