I can remember standing in the barclay in 77 when he scored a fantastic goal to beat Liverpool 2-1

It was a curling shot into the corner, fantastic goal to win the game.
At the time Liverpool were considered one of the best sides in Europe.
Every member of their team was a household name.
If you could bottle how I felt that day you could sell it for a fortune.
For those too young, jimmy was very popular with the fans with many "Jimmy Neighbour on the wing" chants after another tricky run past the fullbacks.
We have always liked our exciting wingers at Norwich.
Anyone looking at the stats of 5 goals in 115 games will be mislead into thinking he had an unsuccesful spell. Stats can lie.
I hope Jimmy enjoyed playing as much as I enjoyed watching him play.
