Before kickoff yesterday

I suggested in the chatty that the day looked like one where everything might go against us. This was based on a scan of who was playing whom, and how our results have gone in similar situations down the years. Sure enough, things went the way I feared, even including PNE who I hoped would buck it.

I don't think we've got a bloodbath performance in us. I hope I'm wrong, but we've always seemed to lack the guts ofr it, except in times when we've had a real leader at the back, like Dunc, Bruce, Malky or their like. And they've been a bit rare down the years.

Strangely, in my water I feel we're not going to go - but then, last year my water said we would, and we didn't, so maybe my water's off the case.

God, I was so angry yesterday. Frustrated and helpless.

This season has panned out like a relegation season though: key injuries, mystifying poor performances, a string of bad reffing decisions and turbulence in the staff.

I hate everything.
