Bruce is trying to reassure their fans that a player they paid 4.5m for (a record signing at the time for them) isn't leaving for peanuts. It suits us, it wards other teams off. But the reality will be a lot nearer 1m with addons for promotion and appearances etc... like us with Francis.

So please folks stop referring to 2m, it ain't so.
