Agreed,I once got one which kept adding a fake icon at the bottom.....

right of my screen, in place of my zone alarm icon - twas most annoying. Tried all the usual virus killer apps to get rid of it and final found one which looked like something out of WarGames and written in BASIC - did the job though!!
