And were left 'grey' for a reason. You CANNOT apply the points deduction across the board

for the failing of a holding company.

For a (not great) example look at West Ham, and what happened to their owners.

Just because a holding company goes into Admin, it doesn't mean its the fault of the football club, and therefore that points should be deducted.

However, the FL need to, and do, reserve the right to investigate these on a case by case basis.
Because, as appears here, if a holding company is created for the purpose of purchasing a football club, and carried the majority of that clubs debt, then it is more than reasonable for the points to be deducted.

I would imagine that the delay is because the FL beleive the deduction should be applied, but need time to throughly investigate tke links, build a clear picture and even clearer case. When they do apply the deduction, there is likely to be legal action, and therefore they need to be prepared for this.

I'm giving the FL some credit here, but I believe they deserve some, unlike the FA who would have run a mile.
