Really?

There are people from poor backgrounds making a hell of a lot more of their lives that Jade did.

I admire her in some ways, she (or her team) were quite clever in 'managing' her.
However, she did little of real note other than getting stupidly drunk on big Brother, and using that 15 minutes quite well.

For me, those that raise themsevles up into normal, decent jobs, work at them all their lives and have a long term career have achieved more.
