Although it's been nigh on impossible I've avoided as much

of this as possible. However the one thing that is making my blood boil is that as far as I can make out Jade Goody never actually stood up and explained about having early and regular smear tests, about modifying sexual behaviour, or encouraging teenagers to have the new vaccine. The only thing that she has done that has led to more women having smears is to die from it. Nothing heroic, nothing dignified, just proving very publicly that it can kill you.
