Ah well that is a bit grim. I'm going to be living about 3 miles

south, down the A6. House backs onto a huge country park called Cuerdon. Within 10 mins of my new house there are 3 country parks and 5 council (yes, councils still run things up north) leisure centres as well as being 2 minutes from the M6, M61 and M65. They also have trains and buses that work.
