techie help please...

I have a logitech webcam which works on my pc (with vista) i took the softwear off the comp to place on my laptop using a mass storage device.. after installing it all it say there was issue with the webcam on vista.. i checked their support site and it says it doesn't work on vista.. so confused as to why it works on my computer but not my laptop? anyone have any ideas on how to get around this problem?
