Sutton's justification was to ask why he should risk injury in a pointless match when they already knew what he could do.

Not like David Bentley's pathetic withdrawal from the U21s in an end of season tournament that actually meant something (i don't know why i mentioned that though).

I could see Sutton's point, but at the time i thought he should have played. For him to never play again was a bit annoying.
