See now I read that as...

...how much she had put into the club, rather than how much she had paid for her shares also.

Which IS a ?11m donation she doesn't expect to see back, on top of the however much she paid for her shares which wasn't money paid into the club.

I'm sure there'll be some neanderthals who choose to / can't not see it that way though.
