agreed, deserved a BBC Sports personality nomination at least as much as the Olympic

cyclist last year (how unlucky was he to be the only one not to win a medal, especially after withdrawing from the Tour de France to enable him to compete?)

i didn't have him down as a classics rider at all, showing he can win these is a massive achievement in itself, but it'll take a green jersey win in the Tour to really bring him to the attention of the wider public, or maybe to emulate Tom Simpson and win a rainbow jersey
