I stood in the kitchen in Scotland watching a sparrow hawk scoffing the greenfinches and siskins which come to feed on the birdfeeder on the lawn, and I'm afraid I just admired the performance. Whereas when I find a hooded crow robbing a nest I become incensed with rage. Bit stupid, intut?
