... To be honest, the last time Beckham impressed me in an England shirt was during the last world cup. Ever since then, he has gone down hill and has failed to replicate the performances, which took England to the world cup.

Not only that, his leadership skills have gone and the only thing he seems to inspire are teenage chavs. If i was Eriksson, I would give captaincy to John Terry.
