Unfortunately these days the only way to have job "security" is to obtain the skills, qualifications and experience to be flexible enough to move between industries to a certain extent.

That's what Waghorn has seen coming, to give him credit, and tried to do. Still hate his particular style and not convinced on his business model but he has at least seen it coming.

As in 1991 and to a lesser extent 2001, it's not really the economic crisis forcing it, it's just providing a great excuse for a clearout.
