Well, when Lincoln City avoided the drop from Div 2 in the 1957-8 season they were bottom almost all season. Then they won their last 6 games and avoided relegation thanks to goal average. Newly recruited centreforward Ron Harbertson scored in virtually every game. Step forward David Mooney...
