i'm referring to journalists as a whole

i think that they, as a collective; as a profession; have something of an image problem

whilst i may feel sorry for any of them that have lost their jobs on an individual level, i am yet to be convinced that you have a cause worth worrying about

perhaps fewer people doing a better job (cream rising to the top?) providing the news in a way that people want, isn't going to mean the death of accountablity for those in the publis eye

(and i am not advocating citizen-journalists as the altenative)
