Bit of a dilemma here

The Corsa cost 2700 and was intended to last me 3 years - I do 20k miles per year - and it had 85k on the clock already. It lasted 20 months. Bearing in mind that I've rarely spent more than 1k on a car, this was a bit of a pisser, because I reason that if I'd bought four ?700 cars instead, I wouldn't have scrapped more than two of them in that time.

So then I spent an admittedly optimistic ?250 and got only 6 weeks out of it. I know what you mean about not buying new - but people are telling me how wonderful it is to get into your car without wondering if it'll get you where you're going.......
