When did the board become so important anyway? Back in the day no one took any notice of them - if a team did badly it was because the team played poorly, and that was that. I'm afraid this new trend for jumping on boards' back is little more than envy at other clubs' financial position and an over-inflated sense of their own club's importance. I'm not saying boards can't mismanage a club - you need only to look at Ipswich for an example - but when the financial situation of the club is manageable (as I believe ours is, at least compared to Southampton and Charlton, also recently relegated) I think it's just the bloodthirsty mob looking for a scapegoat.
