Premise of the show is like this ...

They get four - sometimes five - strangers together and on consecutive evenings a different one of them hosts a dinner party for the others. Each evening is marked each out of 10 by the guests, and the eventual winner gets ?1,000.

The genius is in the selection of contestants that will obviously get on each others wicks.

It's primitive TV, but very enjoyable.
