by laying the blame solely at the feet of our board we are making the same mistake that we made when we blamed Fozzy or Roeder.
There is something wrong with the English game which means that clubs go from eing in the premiership to fighting administration in the space of a few seasons. It's not just norwich, it's charlton, watford, southampton, and many others.
I'm not talking about overspending in order to compete in Europe, i'm talking about clubs who thought they were being 'prudent' but who could not manage the dramatic shift in wages and personnel that relegation from the top flight entails.
The wage bill for premier league players has to come down. Otherwise, a team relegated to the fizzy league has to jetison all its good players in order to compete in a less well off league. By offering 100 million pounds for a player, teams like Chelsea and Man City are killing the entire game.
