Sky know full well that if they started turning their backs on the lower clubs, they'd lose a hell of a lot of customers.

The FA also know that if they lose that TV deal with Sky, it will filter through and disrupt the game at a far lower level. So they won't want that either.

What may happen is that Man U matches go to a third party PPV provider, like Setanta have done with the Scottish game.
