So I'm sat in the relative comfort of the chatty yesterday, becoming increasingly gloomy and, with ALL the scores going the wrong way for us, I began to think back to previous relegation seasons. IIRC Ken Brown's last year was like this: every week, seemingly unlikely results conspiring against us while we played without luck. Penalties given, others not given, and sitters missed. I mused upon Fate, and Luck, and Curses, and the sheer cussedness of nature when things go against you.
Then this morning I watched the Championship, watched Cort left on his own to mark someone with quicker feet, watched our players stand and watch someone take his time and pick his spot, and realised the truth.
It ain't luck or anything supernatural: we get what we deserve.
It'll be RUBBISH in league 1 - don't kid yourselves.
