despite being in the s**t, we actually got rid of a better manager for a worse one. For all his faults, Roeder was experienced and is, in my opinion anyway, technically not a bad manager. He was only got rid of because he was a bit of a w**ker and didn't get Delia's whole 'Little, cuddly Norwich thing'. To replace him with an old boys network headed by someone as inexperienced and clueless as Gunn simply smacked of desperation and incompetence beyond belief. The Barnsley result will be seen in years to come as a disasterous one I'm afraid. He may well be a club 'legend' (whatever that is) but his little ego trip in taking the job on will ultimately cost City their Championship status for the first time in 50 years. As I said at the time, he should never have applied for the job and frankly, he only has himself to blame when it gets nasty. And it will now. As someone said on here a little while ago, the fans get the club they deserve. I hope all those 'ecstatic' at Gunn's appointment in January are happy now.
