IMHO, No he wouldn't.........bec ause..........

last year he was out of contract and couldn' attract a better wage offer than he had here (which we can safely presume was worse than his previous deal)

If no clubs wanted him last season then why assume he is more valuable after shipping x goals a game and getting relegated
