I think i'm agreeing with you. But I do get frustrated about buying/loaning players who aren't any better than what we have - and for whom potential gem status is so well hidden that even they don't know about it.

As everyone on here knows, I'm not a great Chris Martin fan, but I refuse to believe that there was any sense in loaning him out and then bringing in players who were of at best equivalent standard. Ditto Cureton. Lita was a good loan signing, but you didn't have to have Warwick's footballing MBA to know that bringing in Koroma, whom not even Redknapp had seen play, was a bit on the iffy side of intelligent.
