Just watching question time anyone else think this furore is ridiculous?

He's on a contributions based pension. Why should he give it up? He has paid into this scheme (partly in other jobs) and is surely entitled to it?

I can see the political points scoring element of this but surely the press should just ignore the puerileness of it.
