Or even what are we paying them for at all.

Possibilities:

1. Negotiation with players - unlikely. But surely given that this is such a key part of our business we should have someone specialist doing this employed by the club?

2. Finding players for us - more likely. But totally ridiculous. Surely we should be capable of finding players for ourselves? Even if we aren't paying agents to do this seems a stupid idea.

3. 'Agents' is more generic than is implied - who knows. If it covers solicitors fees on drawing up contracts etc, getting legal advice on terminating contracts etc. and other related consultancy support then maybe it would seem more reasonable.

I can't think of another option but really feel the club should make some kind of statement on this.
