Wages were not reduced on relegation

We told our good players that if they stayed their wages would be cut. So they left. Then Worthy signed a load of new players who weren't as good, and paid them more or less the same. So our wage costs hardly reduced at all.

It was the grossest of all the gross acts of gross stupidity since relegation
