ANyone understand how Sky Boxes work?

For the second time recently the box has decided that we now get BBC1 London and ITV1 Central West (we should get BBC East (West) and Anglia West). It has removed Channel 4 (but not More4 or E4) and also Channel 5 and all its offshoots.
Can't find any mentipn of this on't interweb.
