I think it's not internet linkage stories

perhaps SCC is right, a lot of it is to do with age/era. But the classic Carl Cort/Jason Euell story and the follow up joke story, the fact that he backed Ron Atkinson, the low percentage of black players he capped for England...I don't think he's quite as lovable as made out. But then I don't wish him a horrible death either, and that seems to be where he's heading, so yes I feel sad for him in that sense.
