Ignore the latest trends CV wise, simple is always best.

Just use a nice simple font (e.g. Calibri), lay it out well, Start with personal details, then profile/skills, then list of jobs (latest first) Company, job title, dates, duties, achievements etc.

Don't waffle yet don't try and fit it all on two sides if you really need three.

DO NOT put your photograph on it (unless you are a model).

DO NOT use any fancy art/design work stuff (unless you are a creative, even then think twice).

Don't include hobbies/interests, do include two references and avoid putting opinions on your CV.

Don't put your reason for leaving each job.

Don't put White British as your nationality, why say White? a lot of people do.

That's it mainly.
