Regardless of who she is and the idiocy she's been party too (although that says a mahoosive amount more about society than her) her situation is awful.

Two young boys that have to grow up without a mother, not easy that.
Harder for them as she's estranged from the dad, and they are probably used to having the current boyfriend around.
So who will they live with now? Hard times coming up for all concerned.
Terrible (though no more terrible than others in same situation, it really is an awful awful thing).
