Urban myths are fascinating for several reasons

Trawl through the AFU or snopes sites if you haven't already done so. Not all are "false" by the way; but they can reach mythical status as the stories are repeated and mutate.

I was a bit harsh earlier - my apologies. Just that I hate those lists of uncorroborated "facts" that get emailed & posted around. Seems my "bollox" assertion was a little hasty, although having trawled around the net instead of watching the Ashton-less second half there appears to be quite a bit of anecdotal evidence (including our very own Mr C); but nothing verifiable under scientific conditions. Additionally I can't find any documentation on the "Mythbusters" episode I saw; except for it's mention on the Discovery sub-site (Series 1, Episode 4) and this on Wikipedia: User Posted Link (search for filling)
